Description
Sheryl Nwosu is a co-founder and the first Chair of the Black Music Coalition an organisation created in June 2020 to tackle direct and indirect racism affecting the careers and progression of Black music executives in the UK Music Industry. In her parallel legal career Sheryl is a vocal advocate on issues of racial equity, inclusion and diversity and in particular on issues of racial inequality within the Criminal Justice System. She sits on the Executive Steering Committee of the Power-Up programme sitting alongside senior music industry professionals to provide advice, support and strategic-level steer for the programme whose aim is to achieve a fairer, more equitable music industry for Black creators and future industry professionals and accelerate representational change, and regularly provides in-house talks and consultation for an array of organisations as to how they can implement effective DEI goals and strategy.
