Volker Türk

Volker Türk is the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. An Austrian international law expert, he has dedicated over three decades to advancing human rights and refugee protection. His career includes key roles at the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), where he contributed to the development of the Global Compact on Refugees, and senior positions within the UN Secretariat, focusing on strategic coordination and policy.
