Kevin Cummins is one of the world's most venerated music photographers. He has captured definitive images of Joy Division, David Bowie, Oasis and The Stone Roses whilst his photographs for NME where a huge part of the rise of the Manchester and Cool Britannia scenes. His images have appeared on magazine covers, in art galleries and international films, and are included in the collections of The National Portrait Gallery and the V&A, among other institutions.
He has published fourteen critically acclaimed monographs, including While We Were Getting High: Brit Pop and the ‘90s and David Bowie: Mixing Memory & Desire. His new book, Oasis: The Masterplan was published in April 2025. It documents twelve months of seismic change that cemented the identity of Oasis as they went from unknown, and unknowing of what was ahead, to rock and roll stardom. Thirty years later the book contains photographs that went right round the world and have come to define the band, as well as previously unseen photographs that make it a must have for every Oasis fan and for anyone interested in how to create an iconic image.
