Description
Jeanette is a five-time British Champion, former elite athlete, and one of the UK’s most respected broadcasters with expertise across multiple sports. A major career highlight was reaching the 100m final at the 2008 Beijing Olympics — the first British woman to do so in 24 years and the only British athlete, male or female, to achieve it since.
A Politics and Economics graduate from Loughborough University, Jeanette transitioned into journalism after retiring due to injury in 2013. She has since become a regular face on the BBC and Channel 5, anchoring major events such as the Diamond League, World Athletics Championships, Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. She also regularly presents the BBC’s Women’s Football Show, 5 Live Breakfast, and Fighting Talk.
In 2017, she authored Femi the Fox, a children’s book introducing West African culture. In 2020, she made history as the first black female UK TV presenter to host a boxing broadcast on terrestrial television and continues to cover boxing on Channel 5. She received an MBE in 2021 for services to sport and broadcasting.
A skilled speaker and host, she has worked with brands like Google, Nike, Twitter, and BMW, and collaborates with the IOC and IAAF as a moderator. Since 2010, she has supported the Youth Sport Trust, promoting the benefits of sport to young people across the UK.
Jeanette is also the co-host of The Martin Lewis Money Show on ITV1.
