Description
Jim Armitage is contributing editor at The Sunday, writing news, investigations and comment across all sections of the paper. He has worked at the Sunday Times for four years, largely as business editor.
He joined from The London Evening Standard, where he was business editor, having held the same title previously at The Independent newspaper and the Press Association.
Jim was shortlisted this year for the London Press Club's business journalist of the year for the second time and previously won a special commendation from the same organisation for Voices in Danger, the project he launched at The Independent to tell the stories of local journalists abroad harmed or killed in the course of their work in zones of conflict.
He was previously shortlisted for the Press Awards for his investigation uncovering the UK's biggest Ponzi scheme, London Capital & Finance.
