Hanouf Houthan leads the Innovation General Department at Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture, where she oversees national efforts to integrate innovation across the cultural sector. Her work focuses on building programs, platforms, and policies that support creative experimentation and expand cultural engagement through emerging technologies and new formats.Her portfolio includes initiatives in immersive storytelling, AI tools for culture, public programming, and talent development—aimed at creating meaningful, future-facing cultural experiences.
She also plays a key role in advancing the Ministry’s approach to human-centered design and collaborative innovation.Prior to MoCX, Hanouf worked with the Royal Commission for AlUla, where she supported the international positioning of Saudi heritage through global partnerships and cultural collaborations. She holds a Master’s degree from the American University of Paris in Global Communications with emphasis on Identity Formation, which informs her cross-cultural approach to innovation and narrative development.
