DJ Vyrusky

Kofi Amoako, known as DJ Vyrusky, is a Ghanaian disc jockey and producer.

DJ Vyrusky, after completing St Thomas Aquinas Secondary School, continued to the University of Ghana Business School with a BSc. Administration (Insurance option) and a master’s degree in Risk Management and Insurance from the same institution between 2010 and 2011.

During his final year at the University of Ghana Business School, he started DJing outside the campus and perfected his art through competitions with other campus DJs and friends. DJ Vyrusky started making waves outside the campus in 2013 and was the resident DJ at Club 45, now a Gold Coast restaurant. He got his first job as the commercial manager at Ecoho House and then in 2014 he became the full-time DJ for Starr FM Drivetime Show.

He started winning awards from the start of his DJ profession. At Club 45, he won the Discovery of the Year award in the maiden Ghana DJ Awards 2014. He followed up by winning the Event and Club DJ award at the Ghana DJ Awards in 2015 and in the 2017 Ghana DJ Awards, Best DJ of the Year and Best DJ from the Ghana Music Honors.

In 2015, he became the official DJ for the artist's name MzVee who was signed on to Lynx Entertainment. Then he began to work as the artiste DJ for the award-winning Shatta Wale in early 2016. And in 2017 he became the official DJ for Lynx Entertainment’s signed and multiple award-winning artists KiDi, and Kuami Eugene.

DJ Vyrusky has many hits in the Ghanaian music industry. He’s also known for his signature use of authentic Ghanaian music like highlife for mixes and has perfected over the years to produce his debut single, ‘Number’ featuring Kojo Cue and Kuami Eugene. He also released some bangers like Adwenfi, Never Carry Last, Number, Baby, and Afrodance collaborating with some recognizable award-winning artists like Shatta Wale, Mayorkun, Kuami Eugene, KiDi, and Kojo Cue. He’s also had acclaimed performances at shows like Afro Beatz to the World (New York), Party in the Park (London), Afronation Ghana, and Oh My! Music Festival (Amsterdam), Ghana Meets Naija, Tidal Rave, Cardi B in Ghana, VGMA, and so on.
