Angela Farrugia MBE

Angela was founder of the most successful Brand Management & Licensing company in the world with over 24 years’ experience building a new breed of agency ready to tackle the challenges of modern-day retail.

TLC (The Licensing Company Ltd) was acquired in 2014 by Global Brands Group PLC (HK stock exchange). The business had 24 offices in 16 countries, generated retail sales of over $12.4BN annually for its clients and ran over 600 free standing retail stores around the world.

Angela founded Brand x Society Ltd in October 2019 and now lectures in ‘asset light’ business, and mentors’ young designers for Fashion Trust Arabia and Central Saint Martins MA fashion. She is a retail advisor to the British Fashion Council and sits on several boards as a Non Exec Director and is Chair of the Sustainability committee for Inpecs PLC. In 2024 she was awarded an MBE for Global Business development & Licensing.
