Description
Startups normally begin with two kids in a garage with a dream. But we were two guys in a desert. On a really long run. And that’s where the idea for Vollebak first started – running through the Amazon, Alps and Namib desert. While surviving heatstroke, broken bones, bullet ants, hallucinations, angry snakes, tarantulas, and falling asleep while running, we wondered couldn’t the clothes we were wearing do a bit more to help? What if they could help you sleep, or at least relax? Or light you up at night? Or keep you alive? And while we’re at it, what are we going to be wearing to keep us alive on Mars?
We are now entering a Fourth Age of clothing in which our clothes are set to become the tools that help us survive and thrive in a world of climate change, space travel, and resource scarcity. Vollebak applies its radical approach to innovation to the fields that clothing will combine with next – robotics, habitation, computing, data, and AI – creating a series of extraordinary experiments looking at how we’ll live over the next 100 years.
Join pioneering founders Nick and Steve Tidball as they dive into what's shaping the next century of clothing, not the next season.
