Sola Akingbola

Sola Akingbola’s music is an exploration of African rhythm modalities with hard drum patterns, funky jazz grooves, and when performed live, is a sensation. His compositions come alive with an eight piece band, The Eegun Rhapsodies.

Sola’s music explores rhythm, melody and movement with incredible energy; layered with oral histories and a genre-bending experimentation of sound, his music celebrates our shared histories and cultural identities, considering the fluidity of sound, across time and beyond borders.
