Description

CARI is quickly becoming one of the most intriguing voices in alternative R&B. Best described as a quiet storm, the Black-British singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist — with deep Caribbean roots — hails from London, intuitively crafting a sound that seamlessly bounces across genres while staying loyal to her creative instincts. Guitar forms the backbone of her sonic universe, threading through her music with an intimate, emotive pull.

After spending nine years honing her craft alongside longtime producer Melo-Zed, CARI independently released her debut single, "Colder in June," in June 2023. The release opened the floodgates to a series of new opportunities, setting her on the path to becoming a full-time musician. She followed up with two more singles: the indie-leaning "Over & Over" and the melancholic deep cut "Bleeding," both of which captured the attention of fans and fellow artists alike. CARI’s rising profile has led to notable opportunities, including performing during a special radio show for NPR in collaboration with MARNI, opening for Sasha Keable in Paris and at the iconic KOKO venue in Camden, and contributing the dreamy interlude "CARI'S HONEYMOON" to Destin Conrad's debut album, “LOVE ON DIGITAL”.

Now, CARI is preparing to release her debut EP, — a coming-of-age body of work that promises to showcase her growth, depth, and authenticity. A slow-burning yet undeniable force, CARI’s artistry is deeply personal, raw, and refreshingly unfiltered.
