Description
Alex Carr is the Contemporary Music Programmer for the Southbank Centre in London. A role that involves working across all forms of music. Programming bespoke festivals like Meltdown, to producing shows and curated events for international artists through to working with new promoters and local community collectives to help scale up their work, platforming the incredible talent London and the wider UK has to offer.
Alex has most recently worked to develop a 3 year creative partnership between Southbank and the Montreux Jazz Festival in which the two organisations will develop an international cultural exchange and the development of a new artist residential programme.
Alongside her role at Southbank Alex also works as a Programmer for Cheltenham Jazz Festival and is a regular broadcaster on Jazz FM.
