Akua Gyamfi is a respected figure in the UK's creative industries with over 25 years of experience across fashion, film, television, theatre and media. She is the founder of The British Blacklist, a platform dedicated to celebrating Black UK creatives working across the arts. Akua produces and co-hosts the podcasts Your Aunties Could Never, TBB Talks and The Circle. She is co-founder of the S.O.U.L. Film Festival, which champions Black filmmaking talent from the UK and the Diaspora. She co-founded the RCA Accelerator with DDA PR, a training scheme for aspiring entertainment journalists. Her work with BAFTA, BFI, The Academy, Netflix, BBC and Apple TV Plus spans consultancy, curation and public programming.
