Island Wave x ReggaeRecipe Live!

Island Wave is a platform providing funding and resources to Afro-Caribbean creatives, enabling them to showcase internationally while creating spaces on stages that wouldn’t typically cater to such a line-up or genre.

Central to Island Wave’s ethos is its commitment to championing positive narratives and “Upful Vibez.” In an industry increasingly inundated with themes of sexualisation and violence, particularly among young audiences, Island Wave offers a refreshing counterbalance. Its mission is to infuse the music and arts scene with uplifting messages and experiences that resonate with the soul.

The platform has received global press coverage recognising its accomplishments, including being the 1st Official Caribbean Stage at both SXSW in Austin, Texas—now in its 4th year—and Music Matters in Singapore.

Island Wave has teamed up with Reggae Recipe LIVE!, a live music series curated by Ras Kwame. The events are an extension of his Capital Xtra Radio Show, The Reggae Recipe, celebrating UK and international talent while supporting artists and fans alike. Hosting the stage, Ras Kwame will showcase the freshest emerging talent from across the islands, including Trinidad & Tobago, Jamaica, Barbados, Haiti, and Grenada.
